Brain Health Scotland

Brand Identity | Brain Health Scotland

Dementia is one of the major causes of disability and dependency worldwide. And while strong evidence has emerged that some forms of dementia could be prevented by lifestyle changes, public knowledge of the risk factors associated with the disease is low. Developed in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland, and funded by the Scottish Government, Brain Health Scotland is a pioneering initiative which aims to increase the numbers of Scots making lifestyle choices to protect their brains and substantially reduce the incidence of dementia.

The concept behind the brand was to convey the idea of bridging the gap between brain and physical health, encouraging the audience to see these two as interlinked - two parts of a whole which require equal care. The visual embodiment of this idea was conveyed in the brandmark ‘B’ which has been created with a single, continuous loop connecting two elements together in a continuous loop.
