Aberdeen Harbour
Brand identity | Aberdeen Harbour
Aberdeen Harbour is Britain’s oldest business, and one of the oldest in the world. Founded in 1136, they’ve weathered more than just the North Sea. The port has seen off Viking invasion, pirate raids, siege, plague and plunder. It’s seen witch-ducking and it even witnessed Harry Houdini emerged from the depths of the harbour while performing one of his infamous under water escape acts.
Aberdeen Harbour invested £350 million in the construction of a new South Harbour. When complete it will provide access to much bigger ships, ensuring that the port continues to be an important economic driver for the country.
The Harbour Board commissioned Weber Shandwick to develop a new brand strategy and refreshed brand identity to reflect the future direction of the Port and support the strategic goal for commercial growth.
