The brief

Cepton is a Silicon Valley company specializing in advanced, cost-efficient lidar technology for industries like automotive, smart cities, and industrial applications. Known for its scalable, reliable, and energy-efficient solutions, Cepton aims to enable safer, smarter systems worldwide.

Weber Shandwick Scotland were engaged to showcase a vision for the brand’s future identity ahead of internal negotiations for a rebrand pending acquisition. The client asked to portray an evolved vision of the brand, using the current brand as building blocks for it’s evolution.

The work

We developed a visual identity system to evolve the brand into a more modern, cohesive framework. This approach builds on the brand’s core elements, drawing on themes of radar and light to inform an updated emblem, logo, and colour palette. The result is a sharper, more distinctive aesthetic. Green gradients are used to evoke glowing light casts, creating a recognisable visual language that can be applied consistently across all touchpoints.
